I am based in the Derbyshire Peak District and hold weekly clinics in Matlock and Hathersage. My private practice hours are currently on Monday and Wednesday afternoons and some evening slots are available. I work from the Matlock Therapy Centre and Hathersage Osteopathic Practice. I charge £50 for a 50-minute consultation. Normally, clients will attend therapy once a week at the same time and place.
Please contact me to discuss your needs and meet me for an initial assessment. In our first session, we will explore the issues that brought you to therapy and discuss how we can work together. You can decide if therapy with me is right for you. If I think your needs would be better met elsewhere, I will discuss with you where I can refer you on to. If we decide to work together, we will sign a therapeutic agreement, which sets out our contract and working arrangements.
Taking the first step to embark upon this journey can be momentous and life-changing. However, I know it can also be wrought with reluctance and worry.
Below are a few questions you might ask yourself if you are thinking about therapy to ease your way and decide what you might want to gain from therapy:
- How would I sum up my problem/s?
- What would need to change to help me feel better?
- Do I have a goal for therapy?
- I need help. What would help look like?
- What changes can I make?
- What changes am I prepared to make?
- Am I looking after myself?
- How long do I want therapy to last for?
If you’re reading this website and are having thoughts about causing harm to yourself or others, please keep yourself safe and call your GP or the Samaritans urgently. Unfortunately, I do not provide crisis help.
Please note that I ask clients to give me 48 hours notice if they need to cancel a session, otherwise they will be charged for the session. I also ask clients to pay a deposit for therapy (equal to the cost of one session) so that the cost of a missed session will be covered in the event of a late cancellation or no- show.
